As a parent you  spend much of your life dedicated to feeding our kids. But did you know that cooking with kids is equally important? It’s not just about nourishing their bodies but also their minds by teaching them important developmental skills.

Cooking  builds self-confidence. When kids help prepare a meal they feel a sense of pride in their creation and they learn how to contribute to a great goal. The final result (whether it is delicious or a bit of a disaster) is something he or she helped create as a part of the team. The confidence they will develop as a result of their contribution is something that will stay with them as they grow up and find other ways to participate in various group activities in and out of the kitchen.

At Sauté Culinary Academy we look to nourish our children’s minds and bellies, with the skill to make the independent in the kitchen. Our classes are 100% hands  on and children will be exposed too hundreds of new ingredients in our kitchen. True team building and collaboration occurs empowering our children to learn by practicing in the kitchen.

Top 10 reasons Kids should learn to cook:

1. Develops Hand-Eye Coordination
2. Cooking brings families together.
3. Cooking builds self-esteem.
4. Cooking makes kids more willing to try new foods.
5. Cooking teaches kids math skills.
6. Cooking teaches kids reading skills.
7. Cooking teaches kids chemistry skills.
8. Kids who cook tend to eat more fruits and vegetables
9. When kids cook they learn about the origins of food.
